Baseball Recap: North Triumphs

North won the last time they faced Mary Star of the Sea and things went their way on Thursday too. The Saxons came out on top against the Stars by a score of 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saxons.

North got a great performance from Jake Kinoshita as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lucas Blackwood, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for North: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-13 otherwise.

North's record is now 10-13. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North will square off against Peninsula at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they will take on St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
