Football Game Preview: Frontier Titans vs. Centennial Golden Hawks + How To Watch

Frontier and Centennial are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. The Titans will welcome the Golden Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Centennial will be up against a hot Frontier squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Titans' way against Highland on Friday as they made off with a 41-20 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Titans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Scots are ranked 439th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frontier to victory, but perhaps none more so than Talen Mather, who rushed for 133 yards and two TDs on only six carries. With that strong performance, Mather is now averaging an impressive 101.9 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Campbell, who threw for 321 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centennial). They blew past Stockdale 51-0 on Friday. The Golden Hawks haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Frontier now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Centennial, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Frontier beat Centennial 21-14 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
