Basketball Recap: Carrollton Finds Playoff Glory Versus Morgan

It's playoff time, and Carrollton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 37-29 victory over the Morgan Raiders on Saturday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th in Ohio, while the Raiders are ranked 348th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Morgan lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Myka Augenstein, who posted seven points.

Carrollton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points over those games. Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

Carrollton has already played their next contest, a 41-39 win against Buckeye Valley on the 25th. Morgan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
