Walker Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of the McMinn County Cherokees by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cherokees apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.

While Walker Valley ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 12 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Despite the defeat, Walker Valley had strong showings from Caileigh Collins, who had 21 digs, two aces, and a kill, and Avrie Butcher, who had four digs, four aces, and a kill.
