With a playoff win on the line, Newton North rose to the challenge on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won nine matchups in a row.

Newton North's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.
