The Classical Academy of Sarasota had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Imagine School at North Port Sharks 2-1. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sharks, too.

The Classical Academy of Sarasota had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-15, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Imagine School at North Port still got an impressive performance from Meghan Schwemer, who had 19 digs and two aces.

Coming up, The Classical Academy of Sarasota will head out to challenge Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Imagine School at North Port, they have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Gateway Charter on the 19th.
