After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Rattan, Valliant was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They were the clear victors by  an  8-2 margin over the Tishomingo Indians. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Brody Dorries made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Brayden Jones was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Auzy Trapp, who  got on base  in two of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.
Valliant pushed their record up to 18-12 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tishomingo, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
 Coming up, Valliant will take on Wright City at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Tishomingo, they will square off against Mill Creek at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
