Basketball Recap: Leavitt Comes Up Short

Leavitt played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Spruce Mountain Phoenix, falling 73-48. The Hornets have struggled against the Phoenix recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Leavitt's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Spruce Mountain, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Leavitt will take on Erskine Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spruce Mountain, they will challenge Mount Abram at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Spruce Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Mount Abram likes a good challenge.
