Softball Recap: Sierra Pacific Beats Lemoore for Their Third Straight Win

Sierra Pacific waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Lemoore Tigers by a score of 9-4. This was payback for the Golden Bears, who suffered a 10-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Haidyn Cota spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Anaya Zaragoza was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsee Hanson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The win got Sierra Pacific back to even at 5-5. As for Lemoore, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coming up, Sierra Pacific will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Coalinga at 4:00 p.m. As for Lemoore, they will challenge El Diamante at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
