Volleyball Recap: Hayden Tigers vs. Meeker Cowboys
Hayden lost against Meeker back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hayden Tigers lost 3-0 to the Meeker Cowboys. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While Hayden was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-16.
Despite the loss, Hayden still got an impressive performance from Tia Kern, who had 13 digs. Kern is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Hayden's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Meeker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Hayden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win vs. Olathe on the 28th. As for Meeker, they will square off against Rangely at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rangely is coming into the match with five straight victories at home, so Meeker will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
