Liberal typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Diamond proved too difficult a challenge. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Taelyn Reeder made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Kabrie Parmley was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Looking ahead, Diamond will square off against Frontenac at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Liberal, they will take on Sarcoxie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for the Bulldogs and five for the Bears.
