Softball Game Preview: Mayfield Cardinals vs. Calloway County Lakers

Mayfield hasn't had much luck against Calloway County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Lakers at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mayfield is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Paducah Tilghman, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Calloway County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 16-0 to Marshall County.

Mayfield now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Calloway County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
