Volleyball Recap: Ness City Comes Up Short

Ness City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the LaCrosse Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Ness City sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-18.

Ness City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17-2. As for LaCrosse, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ness City and LaCrosse will both be playing Ellinwood the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Leopards will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
