Football Game Preview: Mourning vs. Doral Academy

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Doral Academy. They will challenge Mourning on the road at 3:30 PM on Thursday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

We expected Doral Academy to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Chaminade-Madonna last Thursday, and they did. Doral Academy have to be aching after a bruising 17-47 loss to Chaminade-Madonna. Doral Academy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 3-33.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-42, which was the final score in Mourning's tilt against Miami Springs. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Mourning.

Doral Academy were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past Mourning 49-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Doral Academy since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
