Beacon had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wallkill Panthers 54-51. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 64-40 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Wallkill lost, don't look at Zoe Mesuch. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 32 points and nine rebounds. The game was Mesuch's 23rd in a row with at least 18 points.

Beacon pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points over those games. As for Wallkill, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
