Trinidad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Primero Bulldogs, falling 69-46. If the Miners were looking for revenge after losing 38-23 to them when the teams met back in November of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Several Miners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah Romero, who posted nine points. Cole Gegelman was another key player, putting up eight points.
Primero had a senior duo take command as Brett Kendall went 12-for-21 en route to 31 points and three steals and Mat Pachorek went 9-for-13 to rack up 19 points along with eight boards and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kendall has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ralsten Leplatt, who earned eight points and five rebounds.
Trinidad's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Primero, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1.
Coincidentally, Trinidad and Primero will both be playing Custer County the next time they take the court. Primero will host Custer County on Thursday, while Trinidad will head out to face them on Friday.
