Basketball Recap: Borrego Springs Comes Up Short

Borrego Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 52-14 loss at the hands of the Julian Eagles. The Rams were down 44-11 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Travis Asche was Borrego Springs' leading scorer, having posted 12 points. Asche also led the team in rebounds with 12. Melanie Urquidez took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Borrego Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Julian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

As of now, neither Borrego Springs nor Julian have any future games scheduled.
