Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookland). They strolled past the Rivercrest Colts with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-47. Winning may never get old, but the Bearcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Rivercrest lost, don't look at Destiny Burks. Despite the final result, she went 7 of 15 en route to 19 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ella Gonzalez, who posted six points and four steals.

Brookland has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Rivercrest, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Brookland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-40 victory against Westside on the 29th. As for Rivercrest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-44 defeat against Marked Tree on the 2nd.
