Football Recap: Jordan Jones and Sam Early Secure Win for Banning Lewis Academy

Banning Lewis Academy won the last time they faced North Fork and things went their way on Saturday too. The Stallions came out on top against the Miners by a score of 21-13. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stallions.

A big part of Banning Lewis Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Sam Early and his top target Jordan Jones. Early rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown while Jones picked up 42 receiving yards and one TD. Those 89 rushing yards gave Early a new career-high.

The win got Banning Lewis Academy back to even at 2-2. As for North Fork, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banning Lewis Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Woodland Park at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for North Fork, they will venture away from home to square off against Gunnison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
