Baseball Recap: Navajo Pine Comes Up Short

Navajo Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 21-3 to the Jemez Valley Warrior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warrior this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Wednesday.

Navajo Pine saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayshaun Chee, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That double was Chee's first of the season.

Navajo Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Jemez Valley, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Navajo Pine is set to challenge their familiar foe Rehoboth Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Jemez Valley will square off against rival Hozho Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as the Warrior come in on four and the Wolves on 13.
