Volleyball Recap: Waite Triumphs

Waite's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They skirted past the Put-in-Bay Panthers 3-2. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Waite wouldn't go down easily and took Put-in-Bay into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-10, 19-25, 15-11.

Waite's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Put-in-Bay, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Waite and Start will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Put-in-Bay, they will take on Horizon Science Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
