Softball Recap: Chandler Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Chandler Prep put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Leading Edge Academy - GEC. Chandler Prep was the clear victor by a 19-0 margin over Leading Edge Academy - GEC. Considering the Titans have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Lucy Garner looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Elise Hirsch and Kate W did most of the damage at the plate: Hirsch went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while W scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Hirsch snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Lockery, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Chandler Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Chandler Prep, bringing their record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-5.
