Basketball Game Preview: Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls vs. Menaul Panthers

The Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls will face off against the Menaul Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Grove Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Oak Grove Classical Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-52 to Legacy Academy. The Owls have struggled against the Silverbacks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite their defeat, Oak Grove Classical Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Isaac Rush, who posted 17 points, was perhaps the best of all. Rush's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan Moore, who earned 13 points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Menaul took on Bosque on Saturday. Menaul took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bosque.

Oak Grove Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Menaul, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-12.

Oak Grove Classical Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Menaul when the teams last played back in January, winning 59-46. Does Oak Grove Classical Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Menaul turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
