Basketball Recap: Kaleb Ballard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wetumpka over Prattville + How To Watch

If Wetumpka was feeling good fresh off their 80-33 takedown of Marbury on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prattville Lions on Thursday. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wetumpka's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb Ballard, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 16 boards. Ballard is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Chris Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Prattville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deshawn Hall led the charge by dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Damien Dickerson was another key player, putting up 17 points and three steals.

Wetumpka's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Prattville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Wetumpka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-39 win against Tallassee on the 12th. Prattville and Central will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
