Soccer Recap: Magnolia Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Magnolia's offense. They lost 16-0 to the Cambridge Bobcats on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Magnolia came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 71st in West Virginia, while Cambridge are ranked 368th in Ohio).

Magnolia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Cambridge, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4-2.

Magnolia wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Tyler on the 18th. As for Cambridge, they have also already played their next match, an 8-2 win against Morgan on the 16th.
