Basketball Recap: DeKalb Takes a Loss

DeKalb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-33 to the Nodaway-Holt Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Trojans are ranked 67th).

DeKalb's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Nodaway-Holt, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

DeKalb wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-33 defeat against West Nodaway on the 24th. Nodaway-Holt has also already played their next matchup (against Maryville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
