Basketball Recap: Cardinal Stritch Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Cardinal Stritch faced off against Liberty Center on Monday. The Cardinal Stritch Cardinals took a 63-47 bruising from the Liberty Center Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 55-49 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Cardinal Stritch dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Liberty Center, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Stritch won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Woodward at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cardinal Stritch is facing Woodward at the right time seeing as Woodward is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Liberty Center, they will be playing at home against Bryan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Center will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Bryan will have lost six straight heading into Friday's contest.
