West Branch had won seven straight games and Owen Koleno did his part to make it eight on Saturday. The West Branch Warriors took down the Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack 72-55 thanks in part to Koleno, who posted 28 points and four steals. Those four steals gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan McGonigal, who earned 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played.

Several WolfPack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Bowen, who went 8 of 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points. With that strong performance, Bowen is now averaging an impressive 16.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Caleb Foytack, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.

West Branch's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

West Branch will welcome Brookville at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, they will challenge Upper Dauphin Area at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy is facing Upper Dauphin Area at the right time seeing as Upper Dauphin Area is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
