Softball Recap: Providence School Stallions vs. Matanzas Pirates
Providence School's last matchup with Matanzas could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Stallions lost 11-5 to the Pirates. The Stallions' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Providence School saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Dimitrakopolis, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Dimitrakopolis also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another was Summer Stearns, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Providence School's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Matanzas, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.
Looking ahead, Providence School will venture away from home to challenge Creekside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Matanzas, they will host Atlantic Coast at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
