Volleyball Game Preview: Woodland Wolves vs. Dixon Rams

Woodland hasn't had much luck against Dixon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Woodland Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Dixon Rams at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Woodland can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Monday. They came up short against Rio Linda, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 15 in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Dixon lost 3-0 to El Camino on Wednesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Dixon was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 25-16.

Woodland suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Dixon in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Woodland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
