Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pisgah). They blew past the North Henderson Knights 24-0 on Tuesday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Lilly Inman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Sadie Messer looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Alexis Markos was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Another player making a difference was Savannah Dickerson, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Pisgah kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
The victory (which was Pisgah's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for North Henderson, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
Pisgah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-1 victory against Owen on the 2nd. As for North Henderson, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-6 defeat against T.C. Roberson on the 2nd.
