Volleyball Recap: Southwest Guilford Comes Up Short on the Road Against Western Alamance

Southwest Guilford kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Western Alamance Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cowboys of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Southwest Guilford started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-19.

Looking ahead, Southwest Guilford is taking a road trip to take on Southeast Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Western Alamance, they will challenge Rockingham County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
