Poly made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Arlington, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Poly Bears blew past the Arlington Lions 3-0 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Poly won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 27-25.

Poly's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Arlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Poly will head out to challenge Vista del Lago at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arlington, they will take on Rancho Verde at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
