Basketball Recap: Tanner Takes a Loss

Tanner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Lexington Golden Bears, falling 52-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-24 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Tanner lost, don't look at Aubrey Oliver. Despite the final result, she posted eight points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.

Tanner's record now sits at 2-18. As for Lexington, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tanner will welcome Whitesburg Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lexington, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m.
