Basketball Recap: Weeping Water's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Weeping Water can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Brownell Talbot Raiders 50-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since December 21, 2023.

Weeping Water got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gus McGill out in front who went 8 for 11 en route to 19 points and five boards. With that strong performance, McGill is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jerderick Brito-Diaz, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Weeping Water's record now sits at 4-11. As for Brownell Talbot, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
