Bernstein is 8-2 against Belmont since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Dragons will welcome the Sentinels at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bernstein has three straight wins, Belmont has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bernstein had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Robert F. Kennedy Community on Thursday. The Dragons put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 15-5 victory. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on MICHELLE GARCIA, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of KAYLEE HENRIQUEZ, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Bernstein was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .731. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in eight consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Belmont's offense. They came up short against Contreras on Monday, falling 23-0.

Bernstein pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Belmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Bernstein took their win against Belmont when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 23-0 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Sentinels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
