Baseball Recap: Roxbury Takes a Loss

Roxbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to the Mount Olive Marauders. The Gaels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marauders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Anthony Palombit was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Roxbury's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Mount Olive, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Roxbury will face off against Delbarton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Olive will be paying especially close attention to the Gaels' game: after the Gaels face off against Montville, they'll take on Mount Olive again at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
