Baseball Recap: South Pasadena Gets the Win

The South Pasadena Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the St. Paul Swordsmen 3-2.

South Pasadena's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Vogel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Vogel has posted since back in March.

South Pasadena hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive games.

South Pasadena's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for St. Paul, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.

Looking ahead, South Pasadena will challenge Savanna at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Paul, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-4 defeat against Serra on the 29th.
