Volleyball Recap: Sierra Hoeft's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Port Washington over Deforest

Port Washington's tournament run continued when they took on DeForest on Saturday. The Pirates fell just short of the Norskies by a score of 2-1.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sierra Hoeft, who had 11 assists and ten digs. Emersyn Loose was another key player, getting 11 digs and four assists.

Port Washington's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for DeForest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Port Washington has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Holmen on the 13th. As for DeForest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Wauwatosa East on the 13th.
