Recap: Gaither Cowboys vs. Jefferson Dragons
The Gaither Cowboys posted their biggest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They really took it to Jefferson for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-41 victory on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gaither.
Gaither's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayce Humphries, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marc Fransberg, who scored 14 points.
Jefferson's loss came despite strong showings from Kavanagh Cooper and Lazzaro Ford. Cooper scored ten points, while Ford scored nine points.
Gaither is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Jefferson, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-13.
Gaither will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Chamberlain at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Chamberlain is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, Jefferson and Middleton will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
