It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nemaha Central can now relate to. They fell to the Council Grove Braves 64-58. The Thunder's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Brycen Palmquist continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Council Grove, dropping a double-double with 24 points and ten steals. The contest was Palmquist's third in a row with at least 17 points. Finn Gant was another key player, shooting 54% from the field en route to 18 points and eight rebounds.

Nemaha Central's defeat dropped their record down to 19-3. As for Council Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Nemaha Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Council Grove, they will challenge Hesston at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hesston will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Council Grove surely won't give up without a fight.
