Softball Recap: Knox Central Victorious

After losing to Jackson County the last time they met, Knox Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knox Central Panthers walked away with a 10-7 win over the Jackson County Generals on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Jayme Swafford was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Grubb, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3.

Swafford wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Knox Central lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Knox Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Jackson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knox Central will square off against Whitley County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson County, they will be playing at home against Williamsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
