Kettle Run hadn't beaten Sherando on the road since May 23, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Cougars walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 6-2 loss.

Kettle Run has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sherando, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kettle Run will welcome Fauquier at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Falcons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Sherando, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Handley at 6:00 p.m.
