Baseball Recap: Wheatmore Comes Up Short

Wheatmore managed to slip by Westchester Country Day the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Wildcats on Friday, falling 11-1. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.

Wheatmore's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Westchester Country Day, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Coming up, Wheatmore will take on Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westchester Country Day, they will face off against Calvary Day School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
