Volleyball Recap: Wylie Bulldogs vs. San Angelo Central Bobcats
Wylie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the San Angelo Central Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Wylie took San Angelo Central into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 28-26, 25-27, 15-9.
Wylie now has a losing record at 11-12. As for San Angelo Central, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wylie will venture away from home to challenge Brock at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Angelo Central, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Legacy at 4:30 p.m.
