Football Game Preview: GV Christian Guardians vs. Lincoln County Lynx

The GV Christian Guardians will challenge the Lincoln County Lynx at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. GV Christian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, GV Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 22-18 to White Pine.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lincoln County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on September 12th. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Non Varsity Opponent last Friday, sneaking past 16-14.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Mason Sinay and Daxton Donohue. Sinay rushed for 96 yards and one score on only 11 carries while Donohue rushed for 38 yards. Those 96 rushing yards gave Sinay a new career-high.

GV Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lincoln County, their record is now 3-1.

GV Christian was taken down by Lincoln County 41-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Guardians, Rowdy Lloyd (who rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 30 yards and one TD) won't be suiting up this time.
