Football Game Preview: Dufur vs. Imbler

Imbler had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They will challenge Dufur on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Imbler will really need to gear up for this challenge, as Dufur will be their toughest opponent yet.

After a string of four wins, Imbler's good fortune finally ran out. They took a 14-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pilot Rock/Nixyaawii Community. Imbler's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Ryan Patterson, who rushed for 341 yards and 1 touchdown. This marked the 5th matchup in which Patterson has rushed for over 100 yards.

Meanwhile, Dufur were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on Ione to the tune of 54-8. Followers of Dufur probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.

Dufur's victory lifted them to 5-0 while Imbler's defeat dropped them down to 4-1. Dufur have been dynamite on the offensive side of the ball, averaging 59.6 points per game. We'll see if Imbler can find some way to disarm them.
