Basketball Game Preview: West Trojans vs. C.H. Yoe Yoemen

The West Trojans will take on the C.H. Yoe Yoemen in a tournament on Thursday. C.H. Yoe took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on West, who comes in off a win.

West is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Hillsboro on Tuesday. The Trojans blew past the Eagles 61-37.

West had a senior duo take command as Ayden Poteet dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards and AJ McGlothen posted 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of John Crain, who earned six points.

West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, C.H. Yoe came up short against Bartlett on Tuesday and fell 41-34. The loss put an end to the Yoemen's undefeated start to the season.

West's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for C.H. Yoe, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
