Baseball Game Preview: Arizona College Prep Knights vs. Campo Verde Coyotes

For the second straight game, Arizona College Prep will face off against Campo Verde. Arizona College Prep will square off against Campo Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arizona College Prep is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Arizona College Prep proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Campo Verde 7-6.

Clayton Nachman tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Arizona College Prep let Austin Longfellow and Ashton Sanchez run wild. Longfellow went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Sanchez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Porter Creal also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Arizona College Prep pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Campo Verde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
