Basketball Recap: Atholton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Atholton needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Bryce Inabinet. The Atholton Raiders walked away with a 45-35 victory over the River Hill Hawks on Friday thanks in part to Inabinet, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played.

Ian Pope Jr was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Those 11 points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, River Hill still got an impressive performance from Anderson Dang, who went 6 for 8 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Bishop, who posted nine points.

Atholton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for River Hill, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Atholton will square off against Long Reach at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for River Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-65 loss against Guilford Park on the 25th.
